Sherborne Castle Estates

Sherborne Castle Estates have been at the heart of the community, providing work and homes for local people for centuries. A castle was first built in Sherborne in the 12th century when what is now the Old Castle was constructed by Roger, Bishop of Salisbury, to serve the western part of the diocese. A new castle was built by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594, which was acquired by Sir John Digby in 1617. Today, the Estate maintains a number of in-hand and tenanted farms, and a range of agricultural, residential and commercial properties in and around Sherborne. We are working with a leading team of consultants as we add more depth and details to our proposals.
